Subversus is an independent creative studio, production house and artist collective creating ambitious work with the people shaping contemporary culture.
We collaborate with brands, agencies and cultural institutions to create films, campaigns, large-scale installations, live performances and immersive experiences. Moving freely between art, film, music and emerging media, our collective brings together exceptional directors, contemporary artists, musicians and multidisciplinary creatives, assembling bespoke teams around the creative ambitions of each project.
Whether developing an original concept or directing and producing an established brief, we combine distinctive artistic perspectives, an uncompromising commitment to craft and the creative and production expertise to realise work at the highest level.
Alongside commercial and artistic commissions, we conceive and produce our own films, exhibitions and cultural platforms as a natural extension of our creative practice. Driven by curiosity, experimentation and collaboration, these projects reflect our interests, values and artistic vision, creating opportunities to explore new possibilities, invest in creative communities, and pursue ideas we believe should exist.

Created for the launch of Subversus in 2026, this series of four original idents by VERSUS reimagines the studio’s visual identity through a collection of unconventional cinematic vignettes. Suspended somewhere between anticipation and absurdity, each unfolds according to its own peculiar logic, embracing experimentation, surrealism and unexpected outcomes as an expression of the studio’s irreverent creative spirit.
